ABOUT AGBOKPA, GHANA

the country, the city, and the community

AGBOKPA

- Agbokpa sits on the Western tip of Lake Volta, a prime fishing location for about 10% of the community's people as well as an agriculture focused area.
- Agbokpa's people spend a significant amount of time smoking their fish in order to preserve them, but since the implementation of the freezer unit, these practices have balanced out more between smoking and freezing. The addition of this technology has allowed fishermen and other citizens to preserve their food and save time and money more effectively than ever before.
- The new slow sand water filter is providing filtered water from Lake Volta to the entire community.
